Amy Loder is the founder of Pilates Atenas. She first discovered Pilates while living in New York City and working in the Fashion Industry.

Classical Pilates helped Amy recover from severe and unexpected back pain that was limiting her mobility. Pilates not only reduced Amy’s back pain (and degree of scoliosis) but also increased her strength and mobility, creating positive changes in her body. This impacted every aspect of her life and improved the way she walked, sat, and worked out.

Amy found herself in the Pilates studio 3-4x per week at Pilates Shop in NYC. A Classical Pilates studio owned by Peter Röel, a 15-year student of Kathy Grant and certified to teach Pilates by Romana Kryzanowska. Amy considers herself an eternal student of Pilates participating in continuing education opportunities and regularly takes classes with master instructors both virtually and in-person.

After practicing Pilates for more than 20 years, Amy decided to pursue her Pilates training through Balanced Body. Her focus is to teach the core principles of Pilates while making it accessible to EVERY BODY.
